It's a bit complicated, the EX dissidia WoL design was taken from the CG cutscene opening of ff1 for the psp, but the base WoL design is its own character designed for dissidia exclusively.ĭissidia tried to act as a sort of soft retcon of ff1's garland timeloop by explaining that one of the WoLs originated from dissidia and explained how the warriors of light came to cornelia, as in dissidia ends and ff1 begins, with a lot of background stuff in dissidia's secret reports explaining how the 'chaos/garland timeloop' could even exist in the first place, said explanation being that chaos from dissidia is a second chaos that was implied to have started the timeloop for garland by transporting him to the past, where garland was then taken to the dissidiaverse to fight and become stronger/come to understand chaos's plight and would later return to cornelia's past to avenge him in his image with godlike power acquired from the four fiends.
